Health & Spiritual Wellness in the midst of COVID-19

We value the spiritual and physical health of every person. We are going to update this page regularly to provide occasional health and wellness suggestions and lots of spiritual encouragement.

The Minnesota Department of Health has provided new community-level strategies to slow COVID-19 in Minnesota. Click Here to read the new strategies. In response to these strategies Crow River is suspending all in person gatherings for the time being. Please join us on-line Sunday at 9:00am for an intimate and unique experience for you to watch as an individual or in a small group at home on a TV, tablet, or phone. And, look for our weekly e-news communication, with ways to connect as a community in the weeks ahead.

Here are some specific ways we can worship and grow together as a church family:

Join us on our Livestream Services

These services are available to view anytime but will be able to watch starting at 9am on Sunday.  All services can also be found on our Facebook page. Our hope is to create an intimate and unique experience for you to watch as an individual or in a small group at home on a TV, tablet, or phone. I plan to be available during each service time to receive comments and prayer requests.

Zoom Gatherings

We are going to start using a platform called Zoom in order to have on-line gatherings. More information about these opportunities from small groups and ministry leaders will be posted on our website as they become available and in our E-News.

Give Online

Our hope is to be able to continue to pay all of the people that we employ and have contractual relationships with throughout this unusual season.

Many here at Crow River Church are salaried workers whose pay will continue to come in. But, some are not and we want to have a financial cushion that allows us to support our church family and our community more broadly. If you find yourself in need please reach out so we can figure out how to help you. Please consider setting up online giving using the link below. If you are already giving online consider evaluating how much you are giving.

Reach Out

We are here for you! If you need prayer, support, supplies please reach out by emailing

Our Response = Prayer

Many of us are living in some of the greatest uncertainty we can ever imagine and things seem to change by the hour. This makes all of us anxious which shuts down our frontal lobe and causes a fight or flight response. Fortunately as Christ-followers we can do something about anxiety both individually and social anxiety.

First do something physical to get the adrenaline out of your system. Walk, raise your hands up above your head or cross your arms in front of you. Take deep breaths. Teach the people you love to do the same.

Second pray to God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit for peace that will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. In anxious time one of my favorite parts of the Bible to meditate is

Psalm 3:1-6:

Lord, how many are my foes!

How many rise up against me!

Many are saying of me,

    “God will not deliver him.”

But you, Lord, are a shield around me,

my glory, the One who lifts my head high.

I call out to the Lord,

and he answers me from his holy mountain.

I lie down and sleep;

I wake again, because the Lord sustains me.

I will not fear though tens of thousands

    assail me on every side.

-Psalm 3:1-6

Notice King David acknowledges the hard circumstances in verse 1-2 but also acknowledges and sees God’s protection in verse 3-4. God is a shield and the lifter of our head,  in other words God changes the sight line of hard circumstances. David is able to sleep and wake without giving into anxiety. Read these words to yourself and the people you love!
