Health & Spiritual Wellness in the midst of COVID-19

We value the spiritual and physical health of every person. We are going to update this page regularly to provide occasional health and wellness suggestions and lots of spiritual encouragement.

We are reopening to gather at 10am Sundays following protocols as directed by the state of Minnesota. Please read below for important info about attending!

You can also join us on-line Sunday at 10:00am for an intimate and unique experience for you to watch as an individual or in a small group at home on a TV, tablet, or phone. And, look for our weekly e-news communication, with ways to connect as a community in the weeks ahead.

ATtending as we reopen

We are reopening Sunday 6/14! Please read this section in its entirety to know what to expect. Services going ahead will be different than normal but it will be good to be together. We are trying to provide the best and safest environment for you but also want you to know there always is a risk for getting Covid-19 in a group setting. If you are in a high risk group please experience the service through Live Stream.

*This summer we will offer one service at 10am. This service will be live streamed from the school.

We will continue to offer our service live streamed for those of you who are not quite ready to come back and those of you that are at higher risk.  LIVE AND PAST SERVICES ARE ALWAYS ACCESSIBLE ON OUR WEBSITE and YOUTUBE.

*At reopening, there will be no children’s or middle school ministry Sundays. We will have activity bags available for children for those of you who come with your kids. We will continue to evaluate each week when it seems best to restart these ministries on Sunday morning.

*Capacity will be limited to a max of 125 people (this includes staff and volunteers).

*You will need to signup online to register your spot on Sunday. This ensures we don’t move past the max of 125 people. Signups HERE.

+All staff will wear masks.

+We strongly encourage attenders to wear masks but they are not required.

+No handshakes or hugs, but be assured we are so happy to see you!

+No hanging out before or after the service in the lobby areas. We will encourage you to gather and visit outside before and after service.

+6 feet social distancing.

+Café will not be available. No water fountain access. Please plan to bring your own coffee and water!

+We will have sanitizer stations available around the school.

+All handles, seats and anything that might have been touched will be sanitized before and after service.

+Please talk to your children and teens about the importance of social distancing and what to expect here.

+If you are at higher risk for COVID we strongly encourage you to continue to watch online from home.

+If you or any family member has any symptoms of sickness or have been exposed to anyone who has shown symptoms, we ask that you refrain from attending any event or service at Crow River Church for at least 14 days.

+Pray for our community as we strive to provide a safe worship experience.

We know that for some, you aren’t ready to meet in person. We get it and recognize that each person and family is different and there is no right and wrong! You need to make decisions that are best for you and we respect that. This is why we want to offer the best live streamed experience as possible.

So, for those of you who aren’t ready to come back or find is difficult to come with your kids, we want to encourage you to do HOME CHURCH.

This summer, if you decide to watch the live stream, why not invite neighbors over to watch and worship with you? Social distancing guidelines allow groups of 10 indoors and 25 outdoors. Invite people who attend CRC and/or people who don’t in the neighborhood you live and plan a watch party together. Maybe offer coffee and snacks or a breakfast? Maybe put together an old-school church potluck? One family at our sister church even coordinated a Sunday School experience for the kids in the neighborhood. Get creative, have fun, invite and worship!

HOME CHURCH is in your hands. It isn’t something the church staff will create…it’s up to each of you! If we can help in any way or if you have ideas…we will help but this is an opportunity for you to create and lead!

These home experiences can be as powerful and maybe even easier to invite friends to!

We love you all and are here to support you and serve you. Please share ideas and thoughts as we entire this season. Finally, pray for us and our church!

Here are some specific ways we can worship and grow together as a church family:

Join us on our Livestream Services

These services are available to view anytime but will be able to watch starting at 9am on Sunday.  All services can also be found on our Facebook page. Our hope is to create an intimate and unique experience for you to watch as an individual or in a small group at home on a TV, tablet, or phone. I plan to be available during each service time to receive comments and prayer requests.

Zoom Gatherings

We are going to start using a platform called Zoom in order to have on-line gatherings. More information about these opportunities from small groups and ministry leaders will be posted on our website as they become available and in our E-News.

Give Online

Our hope is to be able to continue to pay all of the people that we employ and have contractual relationships with throughout this unusual season.

Many here at Crow River Church are salaried workers whose pay will continue to come in. But, some are not and we want to have a financial cushion that allows us to support our church family and our community more broadly. If you find yourself in need please reach out so we can figure out how to help you. Please consider setting up online giving using the link below. If you are already giving online consider evaluating how much you are giving.
